CREATIVE OPTIONS

Custom Inlays

Combining design components such as tiles, medallions, wood and metallic inlays can make concrete floors a unique and interesting. Depending on what components are incorporated into the floor will give the concrete a completely different atmosphere. Woods and tiles can give a feeling of warmth and comfort. For a more industrial, modern feeling use metallic inlays.

Colorings

Reactive stains, paints & dyes can be used to create unique designs, textures and environments. They can be a very inexpensive way to add atmosphere and mood to a space. You can also use stencils, ragging, sponging or other faux techniques to give the surface texture.

The photos below are popular concrete stain applications. On the left solid color concrete stain (#812 Georgia Peach) was applied to give the patio a uniform finish. The photo to the right semi-transparent concrete stain (STC-32 Chicory) was applied to give the patio the look of natural stone.

Texture
